I totally agree with the view expressed in this letter.

It is time we demand an end to the misguided and abusive concept of animal
ownership.

This sad accident is just a reminder that animals should not be kept in
captivity, not in a zoo - nowhere.

Leave them alone, in their own habitat. Do show them respect them, do not
condemn them to lifelong imprisonment. No hunting nor captivity!

When will people understand?
